1、 Interface definition: Host side (A): SFF-8643 (Mini SAS HD, 36 pin male), 4i (x4 channels). Device end (B): SFF-8639 (U.2, 68 pin female), including PCIe x4+power supply pins. Power Supply Branch: Comes with a 15 pin SATA male connector (providing power to U.2 SSDs without the need for an additional power cord). Number of interfaces: 1 in 1 out+1 power supply head, a total of 3 connectors. 2. Speed and bandwidth: Protocol compatibility: PCIe 3.0/4.0, NVMe 1.3/2.0, SAS 3.0. Host speed: 12Gbps SAS3.0/32Gbps PCIe 3.0 x4 (depending on controller mode). Device speed: PCIe 3.0 x4 → 32Gbps (4GB/s), NVMe at full speed. Channel Mapping: The 4x SAS channel of SFF-8643 is mapped to PCIe x4 for U.2 SSD. 3. Electrical and Physical: Wire Gauge: 30AWG oxygen free copper, double shielded (aluminum foil+braided). Impedance: 100 Ω differential, compliant with SAS3.0/PCIe 4.0 specifications. Length: standard 0.3m/0.5m/0.75/1m; Black is common. Environmental Protection: RoHS compliant and halogen-free. Gold plating: Contact gold plating (Au15-30 μ "), anti-oxidation, low contact resistance.
